Giorgio Armani is a designer who has always been fascinated by the sea and the ocean. After all, nothing very surprising when you come from the Mediterranean part of the globe … It is therefore precisely this element that inspired one of his greatest perfume collections: Acqua Di Gio. This perfume for men was born in 1996 and is today considered one of the most famous fragrances of the entire male department. Reinterpreted several times, Acqua Di Gio once again comes to the fore. Released in March 2021, Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights takes us from shadow to light. Welcome to the depths of the oceans!
The story of Acqua Di Gio, a Mediterranean fragrance
Like most designers, Giorgio Armani frequently feels the need to recharge his batteries between two collections. However, it has for that a place of predilection, like an earthly paradise lost in the middle of the Mediterranean. To rest and find inspiration, he likes to go to the island of Pantelleria. As fascinating for its lush nature as for the crashing waves on her face, the island of Pantelleria inspired her with one of her greatest scents: Acqua Di Gio. However, in 2021, Giorgio Armani seems to leave the earth to afford a getaway in the depths of the water. More mysterious and intense, its limited edition Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights helps man find the path that leads from darkness to light.
Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights, an aquatic and refreshing fern
Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights is a limited edition that takes the olfactory signature of the first Acqua Di Gio, while having its own personality. This perfume for men is an aquatic and citrus fern, developed like a halo of light piercing the darkness of the ocean floor. Containing in it all the ardor and power of deep waters, this masculine juice nevertheless preserves a certain lightness. With a striking contrast and an explosive chiaroscuro play, it gives thanks to natural elements to highlight a more instinctive masculinity. With it, it all starts with fresh notes of mandarin and cardamom. The marine accord, on the other hand, guides this entire recipe. At its heart, it combines with other more aromatic and Mediterranean elements, such as rosemary, lavender, the mastic tree or the cypress. Little by little, the wake of Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights darkens with vetiver and patchouli, giving us irreproachable persistence in the process.
Giorgio Armani’s elegant blue bottle
Faithful to the code of the Italian house Armani, the Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights bottle is very elegant and devoid of any superfluous. This imposing rectangle is softened by rounded angles, making rhyme virility and elegance. The set is topped with a satin metal cap. Acqua Di Gio Profondo Lights is expressed in a blue color with turquoise and phosphorescent reflections. The metallic navy blue cap, meanwhile, is engraved with the Giorgio Armani monogram, while surmounting a silver ring at its collar.
